Our Junior program for 12 & under swimmers includes our Novice, Junior 1, Junior 2, and Junior Elite groups. 12 & under swimmers learn teamwork, master fundamentals, make friends, and gain life lessons while pursuing personal goals. Competing in 12 and under sessions at USA Swimming meets, our structured plan guides athletes from entry level through high school. With teaching, motivation, and positive reinforcement, we provide a foundation for every swimmer to reach their fullest potential.
For athletes in our Senior, Senior Elite, and High Performance groups seeking a competitive edge, Trident Aquatic Club provides a unique pathway to success. We focus on developing focus, mental toughness, commitment, and team pride. Competing in 13 and over sessions at USA Swimming meets, these traits help swimmers achieve their personal goals.
Trident's Swim Team philosophy emphasizes long-term athlete development, fostering gradual growth and adaptation. Our program promotes self-improvement, personal growth, and goal achievement through a multi-phase process. Competition develops natural abilities and encourages teamwork. Ages: 7-11
Prerequisites: 25 yds of freestyle, backstroke, and either butterfly or breaststroke
Program Details: Meeting 3 times per week for 1-hour sessions, this group focuses 80% on refining stroke technique—covering body position, mechanics, breathing, and turns—and 20% on training.
Swimmers compete in Novice Time Trials and 8 & Under meets, with other events requiring coach approval. Ideal for young swimmers starting their competitive journey.
Novice practices 3 times a week for one hour each session. We offer two Novice groups, one at Wagner College and one at JCC. Both groups swim together once a week to acclimate to larger group settings and prepare for competitions.

The focus is 60% on stroke technique—covering stroke mechanics, starts, turns, and finishes for all strokes—and 40% on training, including endurance, speed, and race strategies.Regular competition is expected.
We offer two J1 groups, one at Wagner College and one at the JCC. Both groups come together on the weekends to acclimate to larger group settings and prepare for competitions.

Regular competition is expected, preparing swimmers for more advanced meets and further developing their skills. Athletes are encouraged to set ambitious goals and develop a strong competitive mindset.

Swimmers are expected to compete regularly. The program is designed to push athletes to their highest potential, providing rigorous training to excel in competitive swimming and achieve top performance at higher levels of competition.

The training regimen is designed to enhance physical and mental toughness, preparing swimmers for high-level competition and potential advancement to the Senior Elite group. Regular competition is expected, and swimmers are encouraged to attend all practices to fully benefit from the program. Emphasis is placed on pushing personal limits, setting ambitious goals, and striving for excellence both in practice and in meets.

The program includes extensive strength training and dryland exercises to enhance performance and prevent injuries. Participation in high-level meets is mandatory, with strict standards for attendance and performance.
